pedal problems.....

Hey guys, I just resurrected my rig after a year or so of playing with pc based amp models, I have been studying full time for a while, and had no time to play with a group, so a packed away my gear... until now..

I have a Fender m80 Chorus stereo model- a loud bastard, didtortion doesnt sound too good without some major tweaking....but the clean channel is beautiful. it has a nice foot switch to control channels, and a chorus effect.
I used to use a Digitech GNX3000 with a dunlop crybaby wah. this was an okay rig, you would be surprised how good the gnx would sound when incorporated into the amps effects loop.but recently, i bought a kick ass electro harmonicx metal muff with a boost, and a rocktron hush pedal to keep things in check. when the two new pedals are plugged in to the effects loop, the rig sounds awesome. but, still the distortion could sound better...

now what i'm trying to do, is put in the digitech pedal in the effects loop with the metal muff and rocktron, when I do, the sound turns to ****, i dont know what to do. i'm not the most adept when it comes to effects loops... any advice?? (other than buy new gear?- i'm skint! :( )

    cheers.

I play a maverick F-1 guitar by the way.

I'm not too sure if I read your post right or not but sounds to me like all you need to do is play around with the order of your pedals. For example - I hate the sound of distortion before wah, but love it after wah, and a phase shifter sounds dodgy before any of my effects really (bar boosts). So just try putting it before and after your other effects and see which you prefer
