Just lookig for a bit of advice from any dentists out there as to what my best options are :about 20 years ago I broke one of my front teeth and damaged the other playing sports , have a composite filling on the broken one at the minute and had to get the damaged one pulled a couple of months ago and at the moment I'm wearing a denture. I want to get an implant in the one that's missing but want to know what would be the best option for the other tooth? About 1/4 of the tooth is broken, mostly down in one corner with a little bit going up the side, and I've noticed that there seems to be a small crack going accross it horizontially. Would I be as well off getting am implant in this one as well or would a crown or veneer be better? Any advice welcome, I won't be back at my dentist for a couple of months because I'm pregnant at the moment so want to wait until babs is here to do anything.

If you're happy with the overall appearance of the composite, leave well enough alone for now. If not, consider a partial porcelain veneer, procelain veneer, or crown (your dentist will advise you- best option varies with individual cases). Only extract:o as a last resort.

The easiest way to get a good result for two teeth would be to have the broken tooth veneered or crowned in order to match the implant crown. However, a good lab/dentist combo should in most cases be able to get an acceptable match to an existing natural tooth.

A single front tooth can be one of the most difficult things to do right for a dentist. Make sure you go to someone you trust.
