Sorry, old* engine. I recently bought a 91' Honda Civic, its in great condition but the engine is filthy and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to clean it as best I can with household products. I've managed to shift most of the dirt with wd40, cif and a lot of elbow grease, but I know it can look a lot better. Thanks!

Try Mr Muscle Oven cleaner, and a good hose, keep it off the rubber and plastic bits, or try it on an inconspicuous area first!

Jizer is good as well, but havent used it in ages.

Cillit bang was used by me once or twice IIRC, followed by power washing, but be careful!
