That's the problem with GC. Most of the nice quiet places are not cheap!

Take a look for the Vista Oasis. It's in an area called Sonnenland, up a hill from Maspalomas. It's cheap, all bungalows and has a nice view over Maspalomas over to the beach. The area is pretty quiet, the Vista Oasis seems to be mostly folks from Las Palmas who come down for the weekend, so while it's busy around the pool from Friday evening to Sunday, it's quiet during the week.

Most of Maspalomas is quiet, especially around the golf club. Just stay away from Playa del Ingles and Puerto Rico if it's quiet you're after!

    Hi OP,
I've been to GC 3 times so far, last time I was there I stayed in the Altaire apts....recently refurbished and I have to say they were lovely. They are located on the hill(grand going down but a bit of a pain going up)opposite the center but I didn't have any problems with the noise, the beach is about a 10-15 min stroll but it's worth either walking(cliff route-gorgeous) or getting a taxi (roughly 5-8 euros as far as I can remember) to the man made beach. If I'm going back I'll definately be booking the Altaire again.

Playa Taurito is a peaceful and relaxing resort which is positioned in a small bay. This resort offers a small black sandy beach and a small selection of bars and shops. This resort has an amazing nature attraction called Palmito Park which has a breathtaking selection of birds, species, flowers and cactus. Palmito Park also features a orchidarium, a butterfly house, an aquarium and crocodile shows. :)
