Ok folks I am toying with the idea of changing my .22. I am currently using an Anschutz 1710 with black synthetic stock and moderator. Its a nice little setup although the scope lets it down a little.

I was thinking of going for something more of an all rounder as opposed to just target which is why I purchased the Anschutz. Guess like everything else I just fancy a change so what can you guys recommend ?

I love the natural wood finish stocks and was thinking maybe something with a fluted barrell etc ??

Appreciate all ideas and suggestions !

I think you will be taking a step down if you move from the Anschutz.
Have you thought about changing the stock and maybe fitting a better scope?
CZ are a nice and accurate rifle but the finish is nowhere near the Annie.
If you got a nice walnut stock for your 1710 it would probably change the whole feel of the rifle.

Appreciate the suggestion and its something I was thinking about. Cant really go wrong with the Annies in fairness guess I was just thinking a change but like you said a new stock and decent scope would put a whole new feel to it. I have a cheap BSA scope on it and its just not upto it compared to the S&B I use on my hunting rifle. Thanks for the idea.

Any idea who supplies stocks for them ?

you can probably still get prices on the walnut stock supplied by Anschutz!

I could always find out for you!

Look for a second hand, as you won't get them new, Sako Finnfire/Finfire (whichever is the rimfire .22lr model). That's the only rifle I'd consider in your circumstances - besides a custom job.
