Check out the information on the Business Integration page on apple.com, and the Deployment Scenario Guide.

Easily done, setup your echange server for RPC over HTTPS and you can now use the ipad / nearly all mobiles that support exchange and also have Outlook connect from anywhere with vpn software.

Setup Exchange for OWA/OMA,open 80/443 ports on firewall, get a secure SSL certificate AND get your public IP address DNS set as "mail.company.ie" and use https://server/exchange to test it then https://server/oma and if that works, get the mobile device up&running.

Set some security policy on mobile device in case is getting lost 'down the local' so that all data to be erased over the air.

    Have fun...

ok from my laptop i can get to https://mail.company.ie/exchange no problem from outside the company. internally i can get to https://server/exchange no problem.

if i try https://server/oma internally i get a certificat error, i click on that and i get an error:

    Server Error in '/OMA' Application.

    any ideas?

    Reset the ASP.NET ACLs
To resolve this problem yourself, use the ASP.NET IIS Registration Tool (Aspnet_regiis.exe) to reset the ASP.NET ACLs.

To run Aspnet_regiis.exe, follow these steps:

    1. On the domain controller, click Start, and then click Run.
    2. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
    3. Type cd drive:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework, where drive is the drive that Windows is installed on, and then press ENTER.
    4. Type dir, and then press ENTER.
    5. Note the folder names that are listed, and then locate the folder name that begins with the letter v.

This folder indicates the version of .NET Framework that is installed on your computer.
    6. Type cd VersionFolderName, where VersionFolderName is the folder that you noted in step 5, and then press ENTER.
    7. Type aspnet_regiis.exe -i, and then press ENTER.

ok after some messing around i managed to get the following working from inside my LAN.

    https://server/exchange-oma

this gives me basically a internet based mail box similiar to outlook web access. so that means that my exchange server is working and set up right.

would I need ports other than 443 opened on my firewall? because when i go to http://mail.server.ie/exchange-owa from home i get a cert error, i allow that and then i get a 404 page not found error.
