The Brevard College Athletic Department and Athletic Director Kim Pate are pleased to announce Dr. Jack Daniels, a world-renowned coach, author and speaker, as the new Brevard College cross country and track & field coach.

For anyone following the plans it may be interesting to see how his coaching philosophies are applied and what results are derived from them over the course of the year

Am I the only one who thought this would be about finding a balance between socialising/drinking and training...:o

Not at all. I clicked this thread eagerly anticipating a revelation that would help me drink and train together. I'm a Bushmills man, but I was sure it could be adapted.

    Bitterly disappointed.

Brilliant, what a great event, surely one that Ireland could compete with the best of them! We'd never get away with it over here though...... participants would have to sign disclaimers, read a 'drink responsibly bible beforehand, drink a pint of water after each beer, the beer would have to be shandy or non-alcoholic, you couldnt drink it outside and everyone who entered would have to spend the night in jail, just in case!

Maybe you could organise a flash beer mile - just get everyone to sign up and then nominate location at the last minute ...looks like lots of fun either way!
