Im not sure of im onto the right place or not, I have never claimed tax back for my doctors expenses, I am going to do it now recession and all that, only thing is I dont have all of my doctors receipts. Is my doctor obliged to supply me with all the dates i have visited him in the last four years? I dont have many of the receipts and Im sure I have at least 6 visits a year between myself and my 2 children? My surgery can be a bit fussy about things like this and I think they might charge for the info.

I don't know if they are obliged to give the dates to you but you're a customer of theirs so there is no reason they shouldn't.

As for charging, it should be a simple printout from their system (if computerised), so I wouldn't expect a charge and would argue it if they did.

P.S. You can only claim back for the last four years.

In these days of technology you would think it would be a simple procedure but not so...
I recently checked this with my GP and they did not have a record of my visits to their surgery. There are some surgeries which will supply this information but they are not obliged to do so:(
