iPod Classic with iTunes help please.....

    Hi everyone hope you could help me out here, I had an ipod classic, that was lost, now I have a new one my mate gave to me which is 80gb(My last one was 120gb).

    Tring to sync it with iTune(the latest version) but iTunes keeps freezing half way through sync or says the iPod is corrupt.

    When I put the iPod into the computer(Windows Vista) at first, it comes up with this window asking me do I want to scan and fix the device, so I let it do the job and schedule disk check or whatever. iTunes opens and syncing takes place, it usually gets stuck on one song and then just decides not to respond to any mouse clicks or anything. Then eventually it says error in sync corrupt file ipod bla bla bla.

    Most annoying thing is it only syncs a certain amount of songs onto it and there not my favorite songs at all! I have 5900 songs on my iTunes.

    Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    Might be some bad sectors on the iPod's hard drive. Try reformatting it. I'm not exactly sure how you do this on Windows. Probably right click and select format on the iPod in My Computer.

    i have the same ipod.....and the exact same problem......ive formatted it ,reinstalled iyunes etc.......still same old problem......can u tell me how or if u got urs fixed?
