A quick one: any ideas where i could get a coolant bottle cap that would suit a 2002 mini cooper???

I have looked on donedeal but no one is breaking any minis near the dublin area. I need it fairly quickly, in the next day or two.
Would Halfords stock anything like that?? or can I pick up some generic one anywhere?

    Any help welcome :)

You need the proper one for this as it is a pressure system. If you run the car without the full pressure in the system, it will boil its coolant and f*ck up the engine.
    Go to BMW dealer
or offchance of a genuine one on Ebay

thanks for that, your right its an unusual cap alright. I had'nt looked at it as there was a 'cap' fixed over it with a cable tie since my OH got it. It seems to be a clip on type cap, so off to a dealer i think :( probably cost me about 50 quid!!

The colant bottle on the MINI is not pressurised, it just has a little cap that press fits on. The dealer will sell you one for €3 euro. The pressure cap for the system is on top of the thermostat housing (about €12 at dealer)

I didnt realise that the bottle wasnt pressurised on the mini however seeing the cap, its quite obvious that its not.
