I'm looking to get involved in some sport for the winter to try and stay some bit fit. Anyone any suggestions in the Leixlip area??

2 GAA clubs, 1 running club, at least 2 soccer clubs, 2 sets of astroturf pitches, the Amenities centre with all it's.....amenities.

As others have mentioned, there's the Salmon Leap canoeing Club, there,s Barnhall RFC, there are a myriad of walks if you want to get a dog.

    That's just Leixlip.

In fairness it depends on what you want to do.

Are you in Leixlip, or Confey, and do you have a car?

Definitely canoeing in the reservoir. Although I just go out in my Lidl dinghy and drink beer, and the canoeists hate me.
There's also a Bujinkan dojo, and it's a fine martial art, but last I heard the instructor was ill so it may have closed. Hope he's alright

    hi,

if you want to keep fit and have some fun, this is worth checking out.

it's a very laid back set-up, and all standards are catered for.

(i don't know what age you are, but the general age profile is 25+,so maybe we're all too old for you to hang out with!)

Hockey in North Kildare in Kilcock? Hockey is an incredible way of staying fit.

That made me genuinely laugh reading that. :)

Few of us were thinking of doing the exact same thing with them Lidl yokes! :D
