Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just saw this, can't find a thread in Infrastructure about this (well not one tat is active in the last few weeks). Is this being done as one scheme? I had thought that the Gort to M6 section was already given go ahead several months ago, but the NRA article seems to suggest that it is happening as one large scheme.

    Seems it is:

I have studied the map, and again I can't understand why the road does not pass closer to Galway? If you are in Galway city and want to travel to Tuam or Gort, you will have to travel a long way east on the M6 before getting onto the M17/18 - travelling two sides of a triangle. At off peak times it looks like it would be quicker to use the old N17 or N18 instead of using what will surely be a toll road. This is a PPP scheme so you would have thought that the closer the road is to Galway City the more cars that would use it and hence more revenue. Does anyone know the reason for its planned route?

I've just found the relevant thread(s). When did all the road threads get moved? I must have missed the notification about this. I had assumed that the lack of posts in roads threads was due to lack of activity due to recent lack of funding for roads.

Dublin traffic. I agree though, it does f all for Galway commuters, other than easing the old N roads somewhat.
