A couple of weeks ago I was trying to update my Itunes account to the newest one available. The update downloaded fine but I keep getting an "the administrator has set policies to prevent this action" (or something similar to that effect.) whenever I try to install the update. This is happening for a number of other programs aswell.

So, rather stupidly, I googled to try and find a solution to my problem. A number of websites recommended inserting a command prompt, which I did. Now when I log on to my computer, Im faced with 2 profiles, one called administrator, (which has none of the programs from my other profile) and my own regular user profile. Typing in this command prompt hasnt helped my original problem at all by the way.

Anyway, just hoping someone could tell me how to get around this problem as I'd really like to be able to update and install programs again as other than this, my laptop works perfectly.

Oh and Im running windows 7 if thats of any use to anyone!

Also, mods feel free to move if ive posted in the wrong section
