Will companies insure an unoccupied house?

    Will they? I fear not, can't live in an inherited property due to local delinquents who continously break the windows....(In a good area I stress)...Will it be possible to insure it?.

    Found this on an older thread. Seems a lot of places dont do it and those that do have restrictions that would not suit.

    Is there anyway to deter them? Leaving the lights on/timer? Asking a neighbour to check on it? Putting up cameras fake or otherwise.

    Maybe look at renting it out?

    They probably break windows because it is unoccupied. Rent it out to a family, cheap. Families look after properties better than anyone else.

    Vacant properties are very hard to insure.
