    Folks,

Can anyone tell me where I could get alloy wheels for my wifes 05 Focus Hatch? She has 17in 205 low profile alloys on at the minute and each week we seem to be paying out for a new tyre. At this stage I just want to put regular alloys on it!

Its a 5 stud so if anyone knows where I could get some, and what price theyd be Id really appreciate it.

Try done deal. Can't imagine 16s on a focus being low profile though unless someone messed up with the tyre size somewhere along the line. Small enough wheel too.

Tbh my advice would be to get your wife to slow down a bit on bad roads

Thanks for the advice EPM but its got nothing to do with driving fast. I drove the car twice and the same thing happened to me. Once you hit a pothole of any sort it seems to blow out or damage the tyre. Its just low profile tyres on our roads. Nothing to do with slowing down.

    Different tyres maybe?

I don't like to ask but you haven't got some cheapo Chinese deathrubber on by any chance?

    Try
    www.donedeal.ie
    www.gumtree.ie
    www.buyandsell.ie
    www.adverts.ie

I would be shocked if you cannot find something suitable on these sites.

Or maybe try something with a slightly harder compound.

I remember years ago my father got a new car with a decent set of Pirellis on it and he had 3 or 4 punctures in a year or so.

Fancy Italian grip and Irish roads aren't always the best of friends.
