Old PS1 game set in London - Anyone?

I'm trying to remember the name of a game I used to play on the Playstation. All I can remember is that part of it was set in England, it what felt to be around the 1700's. It was a horror-based game, and one distinctive part - I remember a serpent or snake came up out of the river.

If it rings a bell for anyone, I'd love to try find out what it's called.

Ah beaten to it, I was going to come in with Nightmare Creatures too.

Speaking of which, I never did own that game. Only played the demo. As far as I know there were two versions released. The first was a buggy mess so it was fixed up and released a second time.

Hi, yeah - I checked a video of it on youtube and I'm 90% sure that was it. For some reason the name doesn't ring a bell though, but I'm pretty sure that's the game!
