"The Shelbourne Hotel Recruitment O P E N - D A Y: Chefs, Food and Beverage, HR and Sales and Marketing positions available.

Due to a busy Autumn and Winter schedule The Shelbourne Hotel are recruiting for a number of Full-Time and Part-Time positions in all Departments ranging from Food and Beverage, Rooms Division, HR and Sales and Marketing.

One things that annoyed me about the adverts was they all said that they were looking for HR staff. I went to the open day because I am interested in a HR job. When I got there, they had no HR jobs! I asked, and was told that they had been filled internally a while ago, and before the adverts went out.

What type of reputable place seeks applicants for jobs that it then fills internally before the adverts go out?

Just out of interest does anyone know what they are paying? Im wondering because in 2001 I declined a barmans job there for IR7.50 an hour so it'd be interesting to find out what they are paying in euro nearly ten years on.
