Any recommendations on sites for watching TV shows or movies online??

Mod note: do not mention where to get copyright material.
Only material without copyright or places like bbcplayer are ok.

Sidereel or Cucirca, they have loads of links for each episode so one always works

    rte.ie/player
    channel4.com/4od
    tv3.ie

They all work in Ireland and are legal and free, 4OD being far and above the best of them.

4oD is good. 4oD upload most of their videos to youtube also which makes viewing a bit easier, I think. You still have to watch the ads which are quite long and annoying though.

You can avoid the ads if you use firefox, just use this add on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/

Small price to pay for the service.

There's a 4OD youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/4oD), from what I remember there are absolutely no ads. Well, when I was watching The Inbetweeners and The IT Crowd there wasn't.
