I'm just curious to see how everyone else is getting on with their revision. What topics have you covered, or have you not even started?

Here's what I've done so far:

Geography: Earth's Crust, and Plate Tectonics.
Science: The Atom, The Periodic Table, Ionic Bonding, Covalent Bonding, Ionic and Covalent Compounds, and Acids and Bases.
    Woodwork: Seasoning.

So, what have you done? Do you have a revision plan? Do you feel you are doing enough?

    Subjects Started :

    None. XD

I'm waiting till november a bit of an overkill starting now, seeing as you'll have gone over it 100 times before the real Junior Cert :P

I disagree, to be honest. It's not like I'm spending hours studying every night. I usually get one topic done which takes about fifteen minutes. When you think about it, there is a lot of material to get through, and I'd like to have all of the first and second year topics finished before the Pre's.

My Science teacher has made out a lovely revision plan for us, taking us to the Pre's. We've a hefty revision test on Thursday, hence the concentration on Science above. She's also making out our Christmas Test so that it only includes topics we have revised.

It's also worth pointing out you're much smater than me, and probably don't need as much work. ;)

Having sat it many years ago I can't say what I'm doing now but I will give you one bit of information that might be useful.

I was horrible in french (or so I thought). See, I never did homework (unless it was five mins before class). Turns out around the mock exams I actually... wanted to give French a go. I was to pick between French or German for the leaving cert, I chose french (we did both for the juniour). And my french teacher was surprised since he thought I was much better at German (they discussed it, him and my German teacher). Lo and behold after about two weeks of actually trying (not studying hard or anything, maybe ten minutes a night) and trying harder in class, I went from barely getting 30% in tests to doing well. I managed a B at ordinary level.

Point is; if you think you have no idea about a subject, you might have just taken it all in so you never know till you try.
