Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It's kinda the usual rubbish.
The conference was broadcast live on CNN, that's the difference this time I suppose.

You mean shocked in the same way that disclosure was imminent about a year ago. I remember a thread being on here saying disclosure was 'imminent' and that our alien friends would be revealed any day. The date slowly got pushed out and then, finally, it was definitely going to happen when Obama won the Peace Prize - he was going to introduce aliens during his speech in Oslo.....guess what??....didn't happen. Here's the thread. Don't hold your breath.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 266 ✭✭bytey

so some people got their dates wrong - is that all that concerns you ?

1/ it is on CNN - Airforce men who managed the most destructive weapons on the planet ( ie - NOT LUNATICS) - have confessed to alien encounters .

2/ it is actually in todays Irish independent ( a first if ever i've seen one )

3/ UN have named a contact official .

4/ chinese scientist admits they have observed ET craft .

Id call this a warm up for the truth , as blatant as the nose you are using to breath

and yes Obama will announce it - it is what he was chosen to do .

    1. No they didn't confess to alien encounters. They claimed to see UFOs. They didn't mention aliens. UFO = Unidentified Flying Object, it does not = aliens.

    2. Didn't see the Indo. Care to link?

    3. That appointment didn't happen. It was made up. See the thread on here.

    4. And you'd think he could produce an image or something???

I just read this , fair enough , its a minor issue.

    1. So they claim. We have no way of verifying their claims.

    2. Online link? Don't have the paper.

    3.

    4. I don't care what he is. If he can't produce evidence then he is just making unverifiable claims.

Academician: Aliens exist, but also have weaknesses
    17:01, August 23, 2010

Wang Sichao, a researcher and planetary astronomer at the Purple Hills Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that he believes extraterrestrial beings do exist and their UFOs have the ability to visit our earth. However, he disagrees with British scientist Stephen Hawking, who believes an encounter with aliens would spell disaster to human beings.

Wang has done the astronomical observation work for 39 years and he publicized his opinion on a science forum held in Guangzhou today.

Wang also found that in the terrestrial space between the height of 130 kilometers and 1,500 kilometers, UFOs have appeared many times. Their flying speed is much slower than the first cosmic velocity. Some are even as slow as 0.29 kilometers per second and they can fly in the 1,460 kilometers' height for more than 25 minutes.

This means UFOs have the anti-gravity ability. Otherwise, they would fall soon. Wang came to these conclusions based on the spherical astronomy and physics method and his years of observation at Purple Hills Observatory as well as the quantitative analysis of some significant UFO events.

Many people are worried that the aliens would invade the earth and if they do exit, is could be a calamity for human beings. Hawking is one person who holds such a theory.

However, Wang said it's too early to come to this conclusion.

"If they are friendly to us, we can promote the human beings' civilization through exchange and cooperation with them. If they are not, as long as we prepared for their invasion, we can beat them back based on their weaknesses. After all, they are life entities, they would show their slips," Wang said.

They've appeared many times he says. I've had loads of chicken curries. Here's a picture of one.
    malabar_chicken_curry.jpg

See how easy that was. Is a photo of a UFO asking too much. Or don't premier scientists in China have cameras?

Obama is never going to announce that there is alien life out there. Only if it's necessary, which isn't until the aliens make themselves more known.

There are rules, like in the animal kingdom, you are not supposed to interrupt lions for example killing a gazelle. You got to let it take it's course unless 50% or more of a species wishes for it.
They had a word or phrase for it in "The Next Generation", can't remember what it is though.
However the are species like the Annunaki who don't play by these rules as they are not a part of the Galactic Council. Obviously there are different reasons for those not revealing themselves to date.

Some sort of confederation of aliens who seem to take an inordinate interest in human affairs for some reason and with no evidence that it exists.

Why does a shark sh1t in the sea?

As for your question, any number of reasons.....

    1) They've tiny todgers

    2) They're not that type

    3) They don't have any sexual organs to show off

    4) Heavy fines from the Galactic Federation

    5) It's not worth the effort

In other words, we're not aliens so we don't know.

If I may interrupt the 3-way for a moment.....

I think that a lot of people are being fooled here in ways that they don't suspect. UFOs (as aliens) have become a huge part of our popular culture. To take the States as an example, a huge proportion of the population now believe in ufos. Maybe this is deliberate and encouraged by the US government. And I don't mean for the purposes of disguising military aeronautical research.

Most of us here have read Orwell's 1984. We know that the author described a totalitarian society and one of the means of control was an enemy (real or not isn't revealed regarding Goldberg) who represented a threat and freedoms had to be curtailed to fight this enemy. The US has been quite fortunate over the last few years to have had Usama, Saddam and Mahmoud Ahmadinijad to act crazy on camera and threaten the western way of life.

The thing is these guys aren't all that scary. If the west needed a bogeyman, what would be scarier than aliens along the lines of V? It wouldn't surprise me if in the future that aliens will be the excuse used by governments to curtail personal freedoms. All that's needed is for enough people to believe that they are regularly visiting us. They've already got names for the various federations for fecks sake!

It's ironic. It's the people who believe in aliens visiting us, thinking that they know some secret truth, who will be most necessary to governments in enslaving us further.

To be quite honest Mc, I don't believe in aliens, I believe they are being hyped up by govt's with an agenda. Remember reading something somewhere about a supposed false contact with ufo's, holograms, like the moon landings, 9/11 etc, but better, whether true or not I don't know.
Having said that I have no explanation to some of the ancient alien stuff and never really fully accepted or rejected it

I don't see any reason why they couldn't exist. I don't see why the processes which created life here can't happen elsewhere and I'd also expect evolution by natural selection to apply on any planet where life could form (google abiogenesis and self-replicating molecules), thus leading to advanced civilisations. I don't see what's unique about the earth.

On the other hand, I don't think that we have been visited. It's not impossible, but there isn't any solid evidence for a visit yet. And even if there was, it would be buried under a mountain of charlatans, bad science and the mentally disturbed. I don't think that egyptians, mayans, incas, sumerians or any of the ancient civilisations were visited but I could be convinced by good evidence. A piece of technology entombed with a king for example. Tutencamun holding a death ray :pac:.

These day's however, belief in technologically-advance extraterrestrial life visiting us is so widespread that it's mainstream that I can imagine it being exploited by our leaders for their own benefit which is usually at odds with our own. Again, I want to stress that, in my opinion, there is no reason to think that advanced life can't happen in other parts of our galaxy. I just think that the energy requirements to move a space craft over vast distances and the ability to select one planet among many to visit just make it very very difficult (but not impossible;)).

In the same breath, there is no reason to dis believe that we are in total control of another species. Look at a goldfish or example, it just swims and swims around in circles in a bowl, any other ideas is outside it's realm of it's acknowledgement.

We think were so clever... "SCIENCE", I hear a lot of folk talk about lol, what is that ? Something that was introduced to you, to keep you from realisation.

I don't consider myself a huge alien hugger either. I have read a lot into many things but my beliefs rely on personal experience, that, and instinct.

This thread reminds me of a song I wrote.

Did I tell you about a dream I had
I was dancing through the stars with a girl from mars
All lifes mysteries were revealed to me
Fell on my head from an apple tree
Just then it occured to me
    Science fiction is reality

Too much fact, Not enough fiction
As we spin closer to extinction
All this life and everything we see
    Is it real or fantasy

We're in a place where the germs wear capes
    And visitors from outerspace
    Deepfreeze your body just incase
And the desperate race to take war to space
While what's below is a big disgrace

What if we are just a higher beings school project
    Trying to impress it's class
With what it made from gas
    Darwins theory from its ass
