Well, it says leather upholstry also, but has a passenger cloth seat in one of the pictures. Patchy at best, definatly going to have to be cheap.

    Hi,

Im not sure if Im on the right thread as Im only new to boards, but Im looking for a car for my daughter about €1400. i suppose like all ladies she'd like something with a bit of street cred! Also, Id want it to be in decent nick, have long NCT and not too big of an engine. Diesel would be good too.

    Any advice?

    Cheers.

Two sites I'd recommend would be carzone.ie if you want to buy from a dealer or donedeal.ie if your buying privately.

Other advice would be this isnt the place for your query start a new thread but be more specific, ie engine size, etc...

Ford Ka is worth a look, excellent bang for the buck and tough little yoke too. Mostly come in a 1.3 petrol engine so diesel not an option unless it's one of the brand spanking new models.

Your budget is too small to meet your expectations in my opinion.

Don't forget the Fiesta 1.25 litre petrol. It doesn't exactly have street cred but what does in that price range, with a small engine, long nct and in decent knick?

Have you considered old school mini? Or again old school beetle? Lot of cred, but no diesel i wager.
I dont think you would get any decent diesel for that price.

you won't get a decent Mini or Beetle for €1400, more chance of getting a small diesel to be honest (f all chance of that too ;) )

Yeah , I agree diesel is almost definitely a non runner. What are you going to get for under 1500 in a diesel. Something with around 300k on it and even then probably a vento , Carina , or a battered Mondeo. Not much street cred there :D:D:D Hard to please a daughter and her dad , but best of luck:p:p:p There's never been a better time to buy one , if you narrow it down to two or three and shop around.:p
