philips lcd turning itself off.

I have a 37" philips LCD tv and it works fine for about 10 mins then turns itself off and back on again after a few seconds. keeps going like this untill its unplugged. Anyone come across this? any recomendations for someone who repairs them? Mods if this is the wrong section please move it!

How old is it? Could need a software update,or check the auto clock settings.

Type into google the model number of the tv and firmware update and see if anything comes up
