    Hi
I am currently working a part time job on a 6 month contract until Dec 10. In the meantime I am also receiving JSB for days not worked, by filling out casual dockets. Last week I was offering extra hours to bring me up to full time position(from21 to 35 hrs) money is not great but the experience should stand to me.. heres hoping!

Can anyone tell what the effect will be on my open JSB claim if I take on full time hours for the next few weeks? It is not a permanent arrangement, come Dec 10 I will more than likely be either unemployed or working part time again.

Will I have to open a new claim again in Jan 10 , or will my existing claim be kept open? Will I need a certain number of days worked to opena new claim?

I rang Citizens info bureau but to be honest I was left more confused:(

Will there be a change to your contract or will the additional hours just be considered extra? I'm on cas JA and I sometimes get up to a month of fulltime hours I just note them on my dockets as my contract is still only for the 3 days. Obv you dont get paid while working the full time but my claim stays open. Don't know how it would work if its for several months. If you get a new contract you'd have to sign off I'm guessing.
