Hallmark Channel renaming to Universal on 18th Oct.

Does this mean I'll lose anything on my UPC digibox that's recorded under the Hallmark name? I'm sure this has been an issue before, in which case I have a whole series of House to watch before the 18th!

That was certainly the case when Virgin 1 became Channel One, and in the past with other channel name changes as well I beleive. I see no reason to believe that it will be different this time.

Yep any recordings will be lost, happens every time that any channel on the UPC network changes names....

I dont think its unique to UPC; from what I can gather the same happened on Sky when Virgin 1 changed to Channel One.

Strange if it did because it never happened on any other channels.

It has - it's been commented on here before. Happens on UPC, Sky and also happened on a Freeview + box in the UK I had when a channel changed names. Seems to be how it works all round.
