I went for an interview, will be a month ago this Thursday.

they said it would be at least 2 weeks before anyone hears back about it whether they be succesful or not.

A friend of a friend works in the same company and he says they are busy with the the recruits that started at the same time as him, which was about 1 week after I went for the interview.

I want to know where I stand without seeming pushy.

The job is a grad programme, and they will be hiring about 10 - 20 people.

Should I call, should I not.

If I get it, it will involve me moving - which at the minute means I cannot commit to joining clubs, gyms, making holiday plans etc

    Of course you can call.

Be polite, apologise and say you know they are busy with lots of candidates/new starts and could you possibly have an update on your application.

If you don't ask you wont get anything.

I would definitely call, a month is a long time to wait. If they have made their choice and you didn't get it at least you will know. If they still haven't decided then they might be able to give you a time frame as to when they will be letting people know. You won't appear pushy as it has been a month and you can bet others have called sooner. Just be nice about it when you call.

I rang just there, nobody available the receptionist said, it was going through to their voicemails or ringing out.

Said to try later, maybe they are on lunch..
