Alsatian/GSD..

    Okay, in Canada we refer to a GSD with a longer coat an alsatian. A normal, standard GSD is just a GSD.

    Except in Ireland, it seems Alsatian just applies to all GSDs?

    Apparently the only reason they're called Alsatians at all is because of WWII and the German link wasn't being well received, so I suppose that would make you guys right.

    But what do you call a GSD with a longer coat?

    A long haired GSD is just what i'd call them

    Yep, they're all GSD's so long hair GSD, white GSD, blue GSD etc but all GSD
