    Trying too access sites such as Facebook but its all been blocked.

    Work in an office and would be nice too check my facebook throughout the day. Its been blocked because the boss's daughter would skip off school and sit on a computer in the back office all day. In the office on my own this week.. terribly quiet.

    How can I get past this?

    <snip>

    If it's "facebook" on a keyword block then it may not work.

    Either way your sustem administrator will be able to tell what sites you visited and may send reports to the boss so do it at your own risk.

    mod note: The OPs question is the complete opposite of security. I've removed the advise you gave, if the OP cant work that out themselves then really, they dont know better than the sys admin/security of the company they work for.

    Not too great at computers tbh.. basic enough skills..

    Any proxy sites that might work?

    Use too have my emails open and my work sorted and would pop onto a flash game here or there when things were quiet.. cant even do that now.. seems most sights are blocked off "youtube etc."

    A few things here:

    1. What has this to do with Security? If anything what you are requesting is a way to bypass security that is in place.

    2. Your company has taken the decision to block facebook. There could be (and usually is) a very valid reason for this. If you want access, go ask your boss or your sys admin. This is a policy issue and nothign to do with security in general.

    3. Bypassing your company's security to access any site or resource, expecially a social networking site!, could land you in deep trouble (does your company have a usage policy that you agreed to? )

    4. proxy sites are notorious for logging traffic or sniffing traffic that passes through them. If you want your facebook account username and password logged and used to send malicious software to all your facebook friends then by all means, use a proxy site recommended by an anonymous random person on the internet.

    Closing thread.
