TomTom iPhone Car Kit - GPS issues

Hi, Anyone here have an iPhone car kit made by TomTom? I have and it's been great. Hands free kit for phonecalls is rubbish, I can neither turn it up or turn it down and the sound quality just isn't good enough to have decent calls. Anyway, I like it cos it charges and gives accurate GPS positioning, compared with iPhones…

Hi,

Anyway, I like it cos it charges and gives accurate GPS positioning, compared with iPhones onboard chip.

But....

When I clip in my phone first, it takes a long long time for it to get a gps signal. If I didn't use tomtom's kit, I'd have an iPhone gps signal in a couple of mins. But these days it's 10/15 mins in the car kit. Usen't always be like this, used to be pretty much instant.

Any idea what's up?
