laptop's motherboard is gone (generic fault with these machines) and it won't start. DVD stuck inside. has slot load DVD so there's no hole for putting in a paper clip to eject the DVD. any ideas or links on how to remove it?

can't find anything on google, bar one website that shows how to completely dismantle it. don't fancy doing that though.

This, but there's a possibility it might damage the DVD :(
