Can my laptops be saved

    :(I have a Packard Bell W3910 laptop, there was a problem with the power cable which i thought or hoped would be cured by replacing the DC socket, but this didnt cure the problem, the battery does power up the laptop can anyone suggest what could the problem be???
    Have heard on the grapevine it could be a short on the motherboard.....

    Any suggestions appreciated

    Also if it can be saved can anyone reccommend somewhere in Galway that can fix it
