What's a good mask to use while spraying the likes of mortone, mcpa, asulox, brushwood killer etc. One for spray not dust.

    ATB,

    John

i was told by a landscaper that the rubber masks with the correct cartridge filters are the best to use as they dont allow the mist through.
he said the white masks are a waste of time and that if you can smell the spray you are breathing it into your lungs which does damage over a long term period.
i got the correct mask with the filters in safety direct for about 30 euros , a small price to pay for what it does.

Wear a good cap with that mortone too John, If your not already bald it will make you in time. My hair nearly went one year after using the stuff:eek: And it burns.

Not good that! I never have the nozzle on too fine a spray, helps reduce drift, and I keep the nozzle low, right near the rush/whatever weed. I'm always wary with a backpack to check everything is good and tight and nothing leaking before I use it. Usually wash the outside of it down after every filling and was the entire thing out after each day I use it. Am always mindful of any breeze too, especially around walls or hillocks where it might curl the spray around in the wind.
