Hi, random question for any hairdressers or anyone who's had this style done...
I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks and would love to have my hair done in a "finger wave", 1940s style, something like this:

I've got short hair, but a long side fringe so it (hopefully) should work out! My question is, about how long would it take to get this done? Does it need to be set under those lamp things?
I made an appointment to get my hair done but didn't know at the time what I wanted to do with it, and I won't be able to go to the hairdressers until the day before, so can't run it by them. I've given myself an hour max to get my hair done by having a lunchtime appointment, should I just try and get an appointment early morning (I don't do mornings so probably would fall asleep in the chair!!)
    Thanks!
