Courses are cancelled all the time, manily due to insufficient numbers.

Thats great! Do they start up again if they get the numbers?

They need to meet minimum numbers to make running a course worthwhile, if they dont they wont run it.

Courses are run in September and January usually.

I tried to sign up for a project management course three times! Each time it was cancelled due to lack of numbers, so I guess it's common enough.

I just started up a part time course last night, it just about went ahead. We had the bare minimum for running the class so they couldn't commit to a four year course. Instead its a one year certificate course with years added on depending on numbers.

Thats the course is wanted to do. Iam starting it online from fas's ecollege, its free if your on the social and 85euro if not. Not bad for a 14 week course.
    Anyone done this course online?

My brother tried to do a web design class a couple of years ago and it got cancelled because they were 2 short

They pissed me off big-time last year. I paid up the 1500 quid for the CCNA course and they made it known that they needed a minimum of 10.

The cancelled it for lack of numbers but did it via email and CC'd all parties - lo and behold - 11 names in the list.

They held my money for about 6 weeks in total before I got a cheque sent out after 3 phone calls too.

just because 11 people were CC'd on the email doesn't mean they had 11 people signed up.

Well they had other @dkit.ie addresses in the 'To:' field and then the CC field was me and two other lads I knew doing it and 8 other names.

Perhaps I can't be a hundred percent sure but the odds are fairly likely.
