    I'm aghast.

I was looking for some Zinc Sulphate, my search turned up this Golden Hoof stuff (20kg weight).

I searched two farm supply websites, both based "on this island".

One had it in a bucket for €76 something.
The other had it in a bag for £28 + VAT.

Someone is seriously pulling the urine

Thanks Kay 9, I didn't know about that one. Will check it out later on this evening.

some good prices but would you have a problem getting your vet to stamp a prescription form?

Was on buyrite solutions. Both copper and zinc sulphate 25kg buckets for E70 delivered but you have to join the buyers group first. On the plus side, lots of handy things there too for farming

They wont stamp it:mad: New laws are making it harder every day. I referred that site for dosing and such that can be got a little cheaper. But the pinicillins and such forget about it.

I wouldn't be looking to buy medicines out of the state. I don't think Goldenhoof qualifies as a medicine though

It's handy enough get dosing vaccinces and all that kind of stuff but injections such as pinicillin which is very handy to have for numerous animals for infection and so on is not available nor is pneumonia injections:rolleyes:

Is penicillen for animals a Prescription Only Medicine?? I'm sure I saw it in the local co-op only a few weeks back - maybe I'm wrong????

My vet will give me a prescription for nuflor and I can get it throught a family member that works in a veterinary medicine supplier. Its very handy to have a bottle of it around the house especially in early spring when there are a lot of young calves around the house. It saves me paying a lot of call out charges to the vet and it saves him having to do a call to me which is out of his way, unprofitable and routine.

It shouldnt be for open sale in the local co-op anyway. If so it's new to me:D Requires prescription.
