Backing Up Bootcamp

I've a Windows partition set up via Bootcamp for games. Time Machine doesn't seem to back it up and the Windows back up tool says the drive is not formatted correctly for a Windows backup. Is there a way around this?

Also I use ClamXAV to scan my Mac partition for viruses from time to time. Does anyone know if it will detect Windows viruses ( I can access the bootcamp drive from OS X to scan it)? Can Windows viruses migrate from the bootcamp partition to my Mac?

    Thanks.

I used Winclone in the past to backup and restore my Bootcamp partition. It worked great. However, I had all sorts of problems trying to get it to restore recently under Snow Leopard. It seems the developer has stopped supporting it as well. So I can't really recommend it anymore.

Sure. Detecting Windows viruses is all it really does.

If you are using shared folders, etc, then possibly. Otherwise no. Even if they do, who cares. They won't effect your Mac, and ClamX will spot them.

Why don't you try Oops!Backup from www.altaro.com. This can run when you boot up in windows and will backup your windows partition in a similar way to time machine.
