Acer touchscreen - worth it?

    Anyone got any experience with the Acer Aspire 5738 Touchscreen?

    I was thinking of getting an Asus X5EAE-SX086V as it has everything I want, but the Acer 5738 caught my eye.
    Is the touchscreen just a gimmick, or is it actually useful?
    If so, is it worth the extra cash (Asus €490, Acer €653)?

    There's a new HP touchscreen laptop out and I'm seriously tempted.

    I think it's called the Touchsmart II...the screen swivels around and it turns into a tablet.

    I've just finished reading an old thread warning people away from HP laptops. Apparently they can cause lots of problems.

    Have you ever used a touchscreen laptop DublinWriter?
