Athlone test centre

I have my test coming up (Oct. 19th) in Athlone. I am not familiar with the roads in Athlone (just the main ones) and won't get a chance to practice driving at the same time of my test (my test is on a Tues morning at 10am and I'm in school at that time so although I'll take the morning off for the test I can practice any other Tuesday at 10am if that makes sense?).

What are the Athlone test routes like?

    Any tips?

I am still a novice driver (just got insured about 3 weeks ago and had 9 lessons earlier on in the year!)

From what I can remember from a year ago (not all that much)

These were all the roads I think that were covered...

They're not really in any particular order, I just tried to hi-light all the roads I could remember :)

If you can, get some practice in Willow park - its where they'll do the reverse around a corner, and possibly the turnabout too. Don't stay there for too long though, it's the rough area of athlone.

If you can, try and sqeeze in a lesson or two before your test - tests aren't exactly cheap and if you can fix something before the test, take the chance :) They'll take you around the routes too :)

Oh God..! I thought there would be only a small area that they could take me out on but that area's huge!

I know they won't take me on all of it but still..?!

Have next Monday off school so I'll head out then for a few hours with dad..!

Well...that's all of what I can remember from my test, so they can take you on 95% of it...

Wait.. You covered all that in the actual test?!

May have to rethink this 'just a quick spin' around Athlone..!
