    Budget is 400-500 euros
Been looking at the Dell Inspiron M501R
In fact it, the title should be "recommend me a Dell laptop"
As they have this "buy now, pay next year" scheme, which is very attractive

Spec required - Basic good all rounder
4-5 hours battery life (non games, mainly browsing or photoshop stuff)
    Able to run Photoshop CS5
    Browsing
    Music listening
Modern Games (obviously not with all the eye candy, but something from this or last year - but gaming is quite down the list)
    12-15inch screen with decent keyboard
Not a desktop replacement model but portable - sitting on my lap most of the time
    Windows 7 Home Prem
Or should I just wait until after xmas, when most of the new spec laptops are out with better ulv cpu's, battery, graphics etc

Not totally stuck on Dell, so open to all ideas, just I know they are well built (Currently own one which after 5 years, is gradullay needing more attention, plus pay next year!)

    thanks

Have a look thru here - www.ebuyer.com and see the deals/laptops that they have.

Dell are ok but you can get better.
pay next year - pay now and get it over with imho.

    k

    Thanks,
think I will wait - usually deals about xmas.
Looking at the new asus range now.
If I hold off, I can get a more uptodate spec for the money.
A lot of the Asus range reviewed on US sites, you cant seem to find here
