Suggest a car - Diesel approx 15k

    I've just sold my car and want to get something new now..

    I have a hankering for Golfs and BMWs just sold an e90 3 series but am open to suggestions also.

    It needs to be diesel, low/moderate(ish) maintenance, and I would like to have a leather interior or low maintenance cloth/velour interior.

    I also have two dogs so have been looking at estates or hatchbacks or possibly a jeep so would appreciate suggestions.

    Ideally I'd like to spend approx 15k but am willing to go a little higher for a nice car - if I can I'd like to stretch to a 07 or ideally an 08 onwards car.

    I am driving THIS until my car arrives ( this week)
    Would it fit your needs??
    Could possibly be bought for less with no trade in

    I've driven Skodas before and have to say I was impressed but don't really "love" the shape.. I'd have to pass on it.

    I'm considering a vectra or possibly a Saab 9-3 or 9-5 estate - any thoughts on these?

    Used to have a Vectra some years ago and loved it.
    On saying that it was a petrol.

    As far as I am aware the Saab and Vectra 1.9 (150bhp) share the same engine
    If I remember correctly the 9-3 is a Vectra Platform?

    No idea as to how the perform or reliability though.
    I will have to wait on someone with more knowledge of them
