    Hi All,

Ok, we decided on semi-solid for our floors with UFH. We are putting a breathable membrane under the floor too but someone mentioned that we should put a light plastic covering under it too...

To me this seems a little pointless as surely this is stopping the heat from getting through. Anyone any thoughts? We are hoping to start this week and our carpenter is not 100% sure!

If you have a DPM / radon barrier in the floor and the conc has dried out properly then IMO semi-solid floor on standard underlay will be fine. I don't see the need or advantage of a breathable membrane or light plastic covering.

My Semi-solid on underlay on conc works fine without any problems with our UFH. Hope this helps.
