Not sure it will sell out but I have to say I have not been happy with his sets at all the last few times I saw him.

Used to love his sets in the Red Box, they were pure rocking :D

Just the Mac focus he does these days with no interaction. Just not cutting it for me.

Now where did I put that Renaissance CD...? ;)

Agree with all this, however Renaissance 1 is the finest mix album ever made, Northern Exposure aint bad either!

Tickets selling very strong, advanced tickets are strongly recommended.
Ticket was a mis-print but he will be playing for 3hrs.

He will be using 4 CDJs and DJM800 tonight. He is away from the computer and back on the decks.

Also, be sure to check out the back room:

    2-3 - Future Funk
    1-2 - Bazz Lambert
    12-1 - Ciara Glynn
    11-12 - Dave McDonogh

    Worst I've ever heard him.

Night started out bad, got there for 11 as ticket said 4 hour set. Didn't know at the time it was a misprint, just saw that on here now.

Anyway, we were let in at 11 , only the club wasnt ready after DJ Shadow, so you had to cue up for the cloak room and then do a u turn struggle back through the crowd into an already packed bar. We were kept in there for over 50 mins, wedged in. Bar staff could not handle the numbers.

Finally got into the club , warm up was good. Sasha opened with a nice uplifting ambient opener, then dropped the first tune - some tech house number which plodded along going nowhere until the next tune came in over the top of it, slightly better, over the next 30 mins I remember hearing Diabla and a pretty decent vocal track but was still waiting for something that made me want to dance... 40 mins in and he played Cowgirl.....

I went and got my coat. (never thought I'd do that in the middle of a Sasha set)

Went straight to The Button Factory where Alex Smoke and Ellein Allien had the place rocking. Really interesting fresh sounding stuff. Proper party music.

With all of the amazing music about at the moment, for Sasha to play an old Underworld crowd pleaser 40 mins into a pretty bleak set was an insult to everyone in the club.

I will never make an effort to see the lad again . BORING. (rant over)

I've not seen Sasha in recent years but have heard a good few of his sets and have not been impressed in the slightest, there's nothing wrong with playing the occasional classic track in a set but in general sounds awful and i cant be dealing with queuing for ages at the bar either or a club that is too mobbed.

you sir, are talking sh1te. so you left a set after 40 mins cuz you werent impressed?!! it was an insult to the entire club? even though the place was out the door with people that were more than impressed by his set.

as much as i would have liked to see ELLEN ALIEN i havent missed a sasha set in ireland in about 9 years and i thought he was as good as the first time i saw him at red box back in the day. he fookin rocked, hence the crowd of screaming punters till the end.

i didnt queue at the bar once for more than about 3 minutes and with a broken collar bone, going in i was a bit worried about some sham deadmau5 fans jumpin all over me but even without my sling wasnt one moment i was worried about it

I understand there could be scheduling difficulties with acts but why have separate DJ Shadow and Sasha gigs in the same venue, on the same night, within minutes of each other?
And then Tripod was closed on Saturday night.

I seriously doubt that it was an actual misprint. More like a blatant misleading advertisement.

Nothing wrong with dropping a classic during a set, and certainly nothing wrong when the classic is one of the greatest electronic tracks ever made.

I've seen Sasha a good lot of times. He was playing some darker and deeper grooves so i can understand it wouldn't be to everyone's taste. It was very different to the other times I've seen him. Good night tho!
