Only some of them operate on certain sites.

Generally it's only main sites, as most societies probably couldn't tell you where a couple of sites are.

DIT Clubs and Socs Festival 2010, 27th - 30th September

A very warm welcome to all new students and welcome back to all those that are returning! One of the single most important times of the year for DIT Students is looming - the DIT Clubs and Societies Festival!

Joining a club or society or a number of both is one of the best ways of

    - Meeting new people
    - Increasing you employability
    - Developing communication and leadership skills
    - Learning new skills
    - Getting fit
    - Enjoying fun social events
    - Attending cultural events and trips away
    - Getting free stuff

Have a look at these short videos to find out more:

    DIT Societies 2010

    DIT Sports 2010

I LOVE DIT - DIT Campus Life 2010 (Wallis Bird)

    How to join?

Clubs and Societies sign up days will be happening in all colleges from the 27th of September to the 30th of September. It will be a roadshow concept, with the clubs and societies visiting Aungier St on Monday, Kevin St on Tuesday, Mount Joy Square and Cathal Brugha Street on Wednesday and finally visiting Bolton Street on Thursday.

On these days you will get the opportunity to meet committee members from various clubs and societies and find out more about them. You can get a taster of what to expect at the following link. . . Be prepared to pay your membership fee on the day. Membership will be between ?2 and ?5.00, this money goes straight back into the Club/Society you have joined, so get your monies worth and "get involved" as much as you can.
All Clubs and Societies are run by students for students and are supported by the staff of the DIT Societies Office, the DIT Sports Office and the Students' Union through advice, administration and finance.
The ever-expanding number of Clubs & Societies available in DIT (almost 140) caters for practically every interest around. But the beauty of clubs and societies in college is that even if your interest is not catered for you can always set up your own Club or Society (provided you can find enough like minded souls). Check out the following link to see how. . .
For further information on join or running a society see www.socs.dit.ie or sports clubs on www.ditsports.ie
We encourage students to travel to the bigger sites to see the full array of clubs and societies.
