WE m1911 not loading properly

As said, the first mag of BBs shoots fine, then when I reaload, after about 17+ shots altogether, the BBs don't feed in right. The slide comes back enough to cock the hammer but not enough to pull back the chamber. Is this due to the cold weather and weak gas or do I need to do something about the recoil spring etc? Any help appreciated as usual. Thanks

17 + shots? I can barley get that out of mine. Its just the gas is nearly gone so not enough pressure to push back the slide :)

But over the summer I was getting the best part of three mags with one fill of gas? And if I hand cock it I'm getting the same amount of shots, just not semi automatically.

I get a mag and a half at best with mine.

I have noticed with one of my mags, when it's out of bb's sometimes it may just not pull the slide back far enough to catch, but will keep firing empty for another ten shots or so. Its obviously not getting enough pressure out to push the slide all the way.

If I was in a game and used a mag I would rather empty the last of the gas and refill when I am reloading the mag, than trust it to get me through another mag. Thats my experience with my mags anyway.

I was thinking that myself and it's probably a very sensible idea, I was just hoping I could go out with my speedloader and be able to reload i-game, but carrying gas seems a bit out of the question.

For me, I wouldn't find it necessary to carry a speedloader to refill my pistol mags during a game. I am fairly conservative with my shots on my primary.

I have my pistol as a pure backup, just incase.

The only time I could see it being necessary was in a pistol only game.

Well I use 100 rnd midcaps and I'd like to use my pistol when I empty a mag and still havent hit the guy. It was just an idea really, life goes on!

Lol, what you could do is get one the large speed loaders and reload your mid caps during the game. When I finally make the switch to mids, I'm planning on carrying a backup speed loader. As it stands now. I get through a few hours gaming with 3 high caps.

Well I've no problem with the ammount of mids like I just wanted to pull out my pistol after each one! And then just put some more BBs in while it's quiet. Maybe a bit ott but man I love shooting that thing!

You could always buy more mags for your pistol.

Ha ha, I get ya now. Can't deny that a bit of pistol usage can be fun! :D

In summer the temperature was warmer, which increases the pressure of the gas in the magazine. The greater the pressure, the more effective the gas. In winter, if you get 17 shots out of your mag, count yourself lucky.

WE, at least with me, have always been a 1-mag-per-fill affair. I'd get like maybe 5 shots per mag, but not enough to entertain reloading the magazine. Dread's suggestion is by far the best, and most fun - more mags :P

The problem with more mags is that would be the sensible option. They're so dear though and my holster has the mag pouch built in so the two that I have fit grand! I'm sure if I saved up some money I could make room in my vest for an extra one or two! :D

I had the same problem with my KWC 1911. Being trigger happy most of the time with it, it would need encouragement to fully slide all the way forward after most of the second mag. I found that spraying the slide with silly oil before the start of the day works quite well. Pull the slide off and be generious. Yesterday i went thru 3 mags in a few mins and not one lock.

I think that's slightly different... And I use plenty of silly oil on mine!

I think the WE mags for the MEU aren't too bad, I'm sure I picked up two for a tenner a pop in MIA.

Well would you look at that? Out of stock though.

Apoliges. Must pay more att when reading. Thing is i have 3 mags. 2 i got over here. 1 with the pistol 1 is an ASG but the third is one from Redwolf and if im honest i get more rounds from the orginal.

Would it really make a difference where its made?

Well if it works well I couldn't care less where it was made, excluding certain circumstances....

I'd give them a bell as you wouldn't know if the site is up to date.

I would imagine, but I could be wrong, that the original manufacturer as opposed to the spurious ones, would be made specifically. Were as clones could be slightly lower quality.
