    Hi,

Just wondering if you can micro chip a bike. I'm collecting my new bike tomorrow and will be investing in the best locks I can get and although the bike won't usually be outside I'd like to be sure. I remember years ago my mam organised a garda to come to our local garage and stamp all the kids bikes with an id. I'll consider getting that again but I was wondering if you can micro chip bikes in Dublin.

We do it for pets don't we?

    Cheers,

    Paul.

I guess motorcycle ones like Microtag could be used on a pushbike, also?

All bikes come with a serial number which will be stamped or etched on the frame somewhere, generally around the bottom bracket area. Make a note of it.
