    Hi,
I have just had the Huawei B260a Router delivered. Have set it up and working ok.
    But it shows as Unsecured.
When tried to change settings to secure it to WEP, or WPA.
It asks for Network key, which I hunted high and low for on all pages that came with the router.
Put in my own numbers. and it closed all connections down.
Is there anybody who can help me secure my connection.
    Thanks

    You INVENT a key...
    Like U7GjwdRqy23NVadhsdghjRL51Bzh
(but not that, make your own Gibberish)

    Write it down
Put it in the Router AND the PC.

    Hi Thanks.
I put it in the router management page, but then turns the wireless network off. Can't get out of page then.
I used the router set-up, so do I now have to configure it with Windows wireless set-up? It's Windows XP.
Sorry not up to speed with these things!!

    Thanks for your help Watty.
My trouble wasn't the router. As I had put these settings in, it was after this when I clicked finish it would disconnect my wireless adapter.
I couldn't get it to turn on again.
I rang National broadband, and the gentleman talked me through how to enable it again.
I had to go to Start button> run> services> wireless zero configuration.
change some settings and away it went.
So now I'm secure and able to surf the Internet.
