    Anybody here running it this year?

    Its on the 6th of October in case you havnt heard!

    I'am thinking of doing it myself,it will be my first year if I do.

    Jeez, feel old now. 26 years since I ran it last. Ran a PB up there in '83 despite it being a fairly tough course. I remember Gerry Curtis, The Martins and Loftus and Murphy all winning. I have a photo somewhere of a 5th bn "team" we cobbled together in '82 or '83 - some of them fell of barstools and some of them could really run. They used to give out really cheesy medal/pins. Great times with great comrades.

    In fairness I am not looking for fantastic times,havnt been out running in 3 weeks,must start again tomorrow.

    Other commitments,but I will try and work around them.

    Not a strange day for the Army to have a 10Km (Physical training is a big part of Army training and the 10Km would be considered part of the working day for them)

    Only open to current and retired RDF and PDF and staff in the DoD (might be 1 or 2 more sections)

    Only open to current and retired RDF and PDF and staff in the DoD (might be 1 or 2 more sections)

    And Gardai.

    I did it in just over 52 minutes - pretty happy with that had a very tender muscle above the knee for the duration, so am satisfied it held up.

    Bring it on next year.
