Sadly I think it might be gone, the forum hasn't seen any activity for years. :(

IF only I'd known how fun diving was I would have tried to join/support it.

It might still be knocking about but maybe you could ask at the student union desk in the student centre, they might know if the club still exists.

Oh and if they are still around, I reckon there'd be no problem with beginners. You'll have to complete the PADI open water diver course before you can do any proper diving but there's always discovery dives. Best of luck!

Nope, it is still alive and kicking. I signed up and got this eamil from them this morning.
Hey Guys!

Thanks to everyone who came yesterday to sign up with the UCC Sub-Aqua club. We had the largest amount of people signing up in the Sub-Aqua club history and were fortunate to meet so many budding divers, enthusiastic to experience the amazing underwater world that Ireland has to offer.

Just a reminder to everyone that the Sub-Aqua club is holding an information night next Tuesday,September 28th, at 8pm in Boole 2 to explain everything you need to know about the club. At this session you will find out about the training programme (for those of you that never dived before), the cross-over procedure (for those of you who have trained with different organisations such as PADI, SSI etc), the costs involved, what you can expect to get out of the club, where & when we dive etc. Instructors and current members will be there to answer any & all questions you may have about scuba diving or the club itself.

After the talk we will be heading to the New Bar on campus for a pint or two so keep yourself free Tuesday night!

Hope to see everyone again on tuesday night!
