    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-11407516

The RSPCA have criticised a "sick prank" in which a cat had its fur dyed pink and was then thrown over a garden fence in Swindon.
Officers are looking for the owner of the cat, which was found by a man in his garden in Wesley Street on 18 September.
The two-year-old, who has been named Pink, is said to be in good health
Well, I'll give the RSPCA ten out of ten for the imaginative name they gave it.

Why is it a ''sick'' prank, as apposed to a normal prank?

Meh, a lot worse has happened

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

The bbc should be ashamed of themselves for reporting such trivial nonsense in a serious manner.
SPCAs deal with appalling cruelty as a matter of course. Putting this in the news as though it were a big deal really undermines any chances of litigation to try to prevent it.

on the scale of "sickness" surly this only counts a one or two out of ten, the cat wasn't injured (apart from it's streetcred).

Thank god it wasn't hurt, unlike a lot of these "pranks" where the innocent animal is hurt horribly.

Hold on now........ an RSPCA worker stroking a two-year old pink pussy is newsworthy.

I used to dye pigeons with Cake dye when I was small. It was a good way of knowing which was which. Never harmed them. I'm sure they were waiting for the neighbours reaction to a pink cat/panther. :pac:
"The person responsible has covered her thoroughly all over but avoided putting any around the animal's eyes and nose.
    They were quite considerate tbh.

Considering some of the recent animal torture going on in Dublin recently this is hardly a horrorific act of cruelty.

    Is that a regular thing?

It might explain the pigeon with the illuminous green head, I spotted, walking up the Grand Canal, one morning, a few weeks back.

I was mulling over that one for a bit.

I wouldn't say so. Signal to noise ratio is high.
