Anyone know why Jay Lethal had to drop the belt so soon after winning it? After all the fanfare at Impact over him winning the title you would imagine they'd intended he'd hold onto it for awhile, plus they could have done some more Fortune angles with him. Then The Amazing Red comes and wins it at a house show...makes no sense unless he's injured or something.

Not the first time TNA has changed a title at a house show. Suppose it's a good way to build up interest in it. Since Impact is a taped show this week I'd expect Lethal to win in back on Saturday when the show is in New Jersey, his home state. Red coincidentally won in his home state of New York. Might just be a thing to put the guy over in their states which is the complete opposite of what WWE do by killing the guys in their hometown.

Anyone know why you dont have spoilers all over this thread.....

But to answer your question yet another stupid move by TNA

i initially thought the same thing but since it was at a house show, no-one is ever able to see it (unless they were at said house show) so......i dunno. bit of a grey area. Non-TV spoiler isn't really a spoiler i guess

^Plus TNA had it all over their Facebook today.

Sorry about that, didn't realise it was a spoiler myself as it's something that's happened and it's not something we'll see on Impact either.
I suppose the easy answer is "TNA is stoopid" or "TNA sux".
It makes no sense to give it to The Amazing Red tho (unless it's a home town decision like chordtype said), as far as I can remember he's not been on Impact since Kurt Angle beat him for #10 in the contenders challenge over a month ago. Kendrick would have been a better person as we've seen a bit of him lately and it could add fuel to the feud going on with Fortune.

to heighten awareness of house shows, and to give Amazing Red a nice home-town pop. Otherwise known as the Anti-Vince
