Is there any wrestling personality revealed as the RAW GM that wouldn't disappoint?

So, we've had this mystery GM and that AOL instant messanger chime for a few months now. Assuming it was originally meant to be Michael Cole, the time has really passed where that would be a shock/not a disappointment. I ask you, is there anyone in the wrestling world (currently available - ie no Russo etc) that wouldn't be a disappointment?

Mods, feel free to join this with the RAW GM thread if you deem it so!

Jesse Ventura is my vote. Although he's already been guest host, he did a fantastic job, is available and cuts great promos (remember the shoot one he did on Cena?! gold.)

I'm sure most would be happy if it was HBK or someone like that. I'm pretty sure it is going to be a face by the looks of things anyway

    Jesse would be a great

I think SCSA, The Rock, Ted DiBiase Snr, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, JBL or Sgt. Slaughter would also not disappoint as GM

Gosh, I forgot that WWE marketed this mystery GM gimmick as a coward that's afraid of all the WWE superstars (hence being anonymous).....although i'm sure this would be dropped if a good wrestler agreed to it

More than likely it could easily fizzle out if the laptop gets destroyed or something.
Hope not but im sure the wwe writers don't even have any idea how to work it.

It could be JBL, he has hinted he would love to return to the E. i dunno what the contract issue is with Nash in TNA, but assuming he doesn't sign a new contract, he's a contender when you consider how close he is to the likes of Hunter.

I hope its not Hunter, because they have done a good job in really getting over the fact that Sheamus took him out, so when he returns our red head hero should be where all his focus is. That actually may be a match that may draw some money at Survivor Series. He can turn heel in a few months if he wants.

These angles usually deliver disappointment.. remember when Hornswoggle was unveiled as Vinces son?!! Actually, Hornswoggle as laptop GM?

well that had to be changed last minute, Kennedy was originally getting it but he f*cked up! so it was a contingency, reaction move to make it hornswoggle!

I justt want them to announce it sooner rather than later by this stage...we are into the latter!

I'd say the big reveal will happen around Survivor Series to begin the Road to Wrestlemania.

I'm glad that they are now putting greater thought into their stories, giving them time to build instead of giving them away too quickly.

Except for possibly The Rock, I can't think of anyone but Cole who wouldn't be a disappointment in a big reveal.

Someone like HBK, Jericho, or Punk might be able to make it worthwhile after that but Cole's the only possibility I can see that could be relatively fresh, a logical storyline occurrence and a springboard for new stories. We know The Rock wouldn't be sticking around.

I can't remember who said it but there was a quote I heard which said every once in a while the most obvious candidate should be the answer if the alternatives don't make sense. Think it was said as sometimes the butler should have done it.

Unless They're going to do a Triple H storyline where he's everything the internet believes him to be - the spoiled, powerful son of the company's boss (which is largely reminiscent of the McMahon-Helmsley fac-gime and a throwback to Connecticut blue blood HHH, and Evolution HHH, and the Two Man Power Trip, and...) - after the pop is done for the night, I think any outcome from the angle would be dropped fairly quickly. Which wouldn't be a good thing in my view.

They were beyond WWE's control but Kennedy should have been McMahon's son. "Who blew up Vince McMahon?" should have been a big deal.

If it were up to me I'd have The Rock come out then swerve it as Cole. Turns out Rock is there for his long ago promised guest host duties. Then the fallout would be with wrestlers (and the audience) having to deal with the guy they've mocked for years being in control. Eg. Miz = "Yay! :D" Bryan = "Oh noez!" Plus Rock can do for Cole what he tried to do for Hurricane before once again riding off into the sunset.
